My Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Build 22631.2861, MSI MEG Z390 ACE BIOS 7B12v1B, 32GB RAM, Intel 9700K system was working fine until this past week (about Dec 16). The front USB 3 gen 2 ports do not recognize ANY USB device (USB 1, 2 or 3). My USB 3 DVD drive powers up in ALL ports but is not recognized on Sometimes, the issue might be within the monitor’s settings. Access the on-screen display (OSD) menu of your LG monitor and navigate to the audio settings. Ensure that the monitor is not muted and that the volume is set to an audible level. In cases where the monitor is used as a secondary display, check your computer’s sound settings to

On the Playback tab, double-click on your LG monitor and click on the Levels tab. First, see if the volume icon has a No symbol. Adjust the slider to disable mute and change the volume. Hi, As long as the monitor’s USB ports’ input connections are connected to the computer the USB out ports are the same as if they were mounted in the computer itself. What is the make and model number of the monitor? There should be a USB In port to connect to the desktop via a USB or proprietary - Desktop PC

It has a specific usb port you have to connect to your computer in order for the USB hub to be seen by the computer. Yeah, I think I missed the step. It is easy to do. Took me a bit to figure this monitor out. You have to connect the monitor to one of your laptops' usb ports through a cable that looks like the one linked below.
The monitor charges the computer. It also has a speaker, mic, camera, and USB ports. One of the ports is used to connect to LAN. Everything used to work fine, but recently something happened. Once in a while, all these devices (camera, mic, USB) suddenly disconnect. The monitor still works OK and still charges the computer.
But since that doesn't work, I'm using straight HDMI and I'm limited to 3840x1080. Apple really messed something up in the 13.3 release. I'm having issues with my LG 38WN95C since the MacOS 13.3.1 update when connecting via USB-C. My MBP "16 2019 gets about 1 second of power, then disconnects, then reconnects then disconnects etc.
Dec 4, 2020. #1. Hi all, I recently upgraded to a 3070. I uninstalled my 1070 drivers, shut down, plugged in the new 3070 and booted windows. When I first plugged it in with the displayport it was working, booted up and went into windows. I installed the drivers through Geforce experience and when it was completed the screen went black. 1) Insert random usb 3.0 flash drive in monitors usb 3.0 port. 2) Connect monitor with usb 3.0 (to pc) to usb type C (to monitor) 3) OnScreen Control will now recognize connected monitor and allow upgrade. I don't know why it wont work without flash drive (windows 10 driver issues?), but inserting that flash drive did it for me. Good luck.
If your video card does not have the Type-C output and you are using DisplayPort, the DP link does not have the USB capability. The Type-A USB3.1 receptacles will not work unless you connect the LG Type-C port via additional C-C cable (to Type-C host) or C-A cable to a regular USB-A host port.
